Your comeback always starts before you feel ready.

A few nights ago, my daughter asked me,

“Are you nervous about the Ironman?”

And it hit me.

I’m not wondering if I’ll finish.

I already know I’m going to.

I can hear them call my name.

I can see the finish-line photo.

I can feel the red carpet under my feet.

But here’s the real moment that punched me in the chest:

I realized I’m not doing this Ironman for the medal.

I’m doing it to show my girls what’s possible when life hits you sideways.

Because this season hasn’t been easy: layoffs, uncertainty, rebuilding…

But your “why” isn’t something a company gives you.

It’s something you build every single day.

And my why has always been the same:

Show my daughters what resilience looks like

Prove to myself that a hit isn’t the end, it’s the start

Inspire the people around me to take the first step, even when it’s scary

So yeah… the road ahead is going to hurt.

Training will hurt.

Rebuilding will hurt.

But that’s the price of a comeback worth watching.

Hard miles are coming.

But so is the finish line.

And the red carpet is waiting.
