This week, I had the absolute pleasure of going on-site with one of my long-time customers alongside a truly fantastic team. There’s something special about being face-to-face — sharing in the excitement of what we’ve achieved together, and brainstorming how we can expand the team’s knowledge and enhance our solution to meet their evolving needs.

Our host went above and beyond — showing us the best local sights and restaurants. Those experiences remind me that great partnerships aren’t just about business results — they’re about relationships built on trust, collaboration, and shared wins.

Then reality hit on the return trip: jet lag.

The kind that makes your alarm clock feel personal.

But instead of staying in bed, I scraped the ice off the windshield and dragged myself to the pool. A few hundred yards later, I remembered why we do the hard things — because the feeling after you push through is unbeatable.

Whether it’s work, fitness, or personal goals — the voice that says “it’s impossible” usually belongs to someone who stopped trying. Don’t let that voice define your limits.

This week, celebrate your wins, no matter how small. Every forward step counts. Every early alarm, every late night, every time you show up when it would’ve been easier not to — that’s progress worth recognizing.

This week, I’ve been thinking about the early stages of big goals. The kind that seem overwhelming at first glance — the ones that take months (or even years) of steady effort to reach.

For me, that goal is a full Ironman in September 2026 — 140.6 miles of swimming, biking, and running. I have all the tools, the plan, and the vision. Now it’s time to start.

When I look at the reality of 11 months of training, it can feel daunting. But here’s the truth:

The finish line won’t happen in one giant leap — it will happen in thousands of small wins.

It’s going to be about the 4:30 a.m. wake-ups, the workouts that fit into my day before work so I can still be present for my family, and the choice to keep moving forward on days when motivation isn’t high.

I’ll be tracking progress in two ways:

The tech side – using AI tools like ChatGPT to plan and analyze my training.

The old-school side – a big wall calendar where I can mark off each day and see both the micro progress and the big picture.

This approach isn’t just for endurance training — it’s exactly how we build strong customer relationships. Consistency is the bridge between the first conversation and long-term trust. The “finish line” with a client isn’t a single meeting or deal; it’s the accumulation of every small action, every follow-up, every delivered promise.

If you’ve been sitting on a big goal — personal or professional — here’s your sign:

Start.

Break it into small steps.

Stack the wins until the big picture takes shape.

The first step matters most. The rest will follow.

You need to get started. No matter how small that step is today.

What’s one small win you can commit to before the weekend is over?

Thank you for your time, and have a Fantastic Friday.
