Standing in transition the day before my Ironman 70.3, I had never seen so many bikes in one place. The energy was electric—months of training, early mornings, and quiet sacrifices leading up to this moment.

And then… the storm came. Wind. Rain. It was a day that tested our physical strength and our resilience. But that’s the thing about endurance athletes—we don’t train for perfect conditions. We train for whatever the day throws at us.

We put in the work when no one is watching. We push forward when others stay inside. And when race day arrives, no matter the obstacles, we show up and give it everything we have.

No one said it would be easy—but that’s exactly why we do it.

Who else has faced a “storm” in their journey and kept going?
